Happens Every Day

Honestly, it doesn't happen EVERY day, but it sure seems like it has the last few days...snow, snow and MORE snow! No snow day for me at work, but it seems like everything else around us has the day off.  There's a break at the moment with more snow, wind and COLD on the way.  Welcome to WINTER!

Snow...again!

Yes, it's a snow picture...again...but a little different this time. Looking out back today, I had to snap a picture (or two). As much as I don't like the snow, in the warmth and comfort of my home it is beautiful. This photo even captures the snow falling down. I love it! I've often wondered why God doesn't just make it snow on the grass (and He could if He wanted) and not the roads to make things dangerous, but He's God...that's why!

He spreads the snow like wool and scatters the frost like ashes. - Psalm 147:16

Tangled

Since the weather was absolutely wonderful today (50+ degrees F on January 11th in Michigan is BEAUTIFUL), I decided to get the outside Christmas lights down so they won't have to endure the harshest winter weather (they have been spoiled up to this point). The weather forecasters are predicting quite a bit of snow for tomorrow and Friday.

This however, is a picture of the lights right now because I didn't wind them up as I was taking them out of the tree and off the bushes.

I picture myself sitting down after church tonight and untangling and winding the lights back up properly. Please Lord, allow me to stand fast in you so that I do not become entangled! I have spent time with a yoke of bondage and it was no fun!

Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. - Galatians 5:1

Snow

Snow! While I cannot say that I love it, I do love the sight of freshly fallen snow. It is beautiful! So very thankful that God is in control of the snow fall. If He left it to me, there probably wouldn't be much (if any) and then I would miss the beauty.

He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth,’ and to the rain shower, ‘Be a mighty downpour.’ - Job 37:6
