Not sure, but that is my hope for this afghan I just finished! [This photo, though, does it NO justice...at least in my humble opinion. :-)]
There was an older aunt who had made afghans for each of her nieces and nephews when they grew up and got married. That's what I want to do! I want to make an afghan for each of my three nieces and one nephew when they get married...something special they can have from Aunt Paula (whether or not they want it or think it is special). Now, mind you, only one of my nieces is an adult so far, so I have PLENTY of time to work on them, but why wait. :-) I love to crochet and it's even more of an enjoyment when there is a special purpose behind it!!! I think of and pray for those it is being made for every time I work on it.
Recently a dear friend of mine posted a picture on FaceBook. The afghan I made for their wedding was on prominent display on their couch. What a privilege and honor for me!!
Bring on the next project!!! :-)

We received 2 hand-made blankets as wedding gifts and we still use them both! :) What a great heirloom gift!
