Last week we recalled the three-year passing of my stillborn niece, Kelsey. As I recall her passing, I also recall just where she is right now...IN THE GLORIOUS PRESENCE OF OUR LORD! What a peace and comfort! Does it hurt that she is gone? You better believe it does; the tears still flow wondering just what she would be doing right now. But even through the tears, I can rejoice in knowing that Kelsey is dancing in the arms of Jesus and basking in HIS glory along with so many other loved ones! While death may separate us for awhile, GOD has the victory! Another reason why my STOP post from yesterday (1/9) is important. Let's make the reunion with our Heavenly Father even larger with family and friends.
BLESSED BE MY ROCK!
"The LORD lives! Blessed be my Rock! Let God be exalted. The Rock of my salvation." Psalm 18:46

Morbid? Peaceful? You make the call.
Apologies in advance if you think this picture is morbid. I for one find cemetaries peaceful and very intriguing -- and have for as long as I can remember. My mom started taking me with her to put flowers on graves when I was just a youngster. To this day I still and continue to do that. I don't however, just go on Memorial Day, or birthdays, or anniversaries or dates of passing; sometimes I just go with no special reason in mind and not always to place flowers. Sometimes I just go and look and walk and think. (If you are reading this post and didn't know before that I was a little off kilter, you do now! :-)

I have always found cemeteries to be peaceful as well. When we buried my Mom and then buried my husbands Mom a year later, I didn't feel that peace for a while because I thought they were all alone ... even though I knew that "they" were not really there.
God is good and I have to say that I loved walking around both cemeteries praying for families of those in the cemetery. I think that is really neat that you lay flowers on people's graves! What a blessing that could be to a grieving family! :)
Good reminder that God is in control and sometimes life hurts, but there is beauty in the hurt!
