Detail

This is my first attempt at a crocheted flower! Yes, I had to make it colorful. While the pattern was simple, it wasn't very specific or detailed. It said you could start with any number of chain stitches, you could use any number of stitches for the petals and you could have any number of petals. I am pretty happy with my first attempt, but while working on this I was thinking about details.

We have been teaching the kids about Moses in our Wednesday night youth program at church. Last week we taught them about the building of the Tabernacle. God gave Moses very specific instructions for every detail of the Tabernacle; from what material to use, to specific measurements and placements. He was even specific about what flowers to use when making the lamp stand - not just any flower, but almond flowers with buds and blossoms. If God cared that much about the details of a lamp stand, how much more must He care about us?

And on the lamp stand there are to be four cups shaped like almond flowers with buds and blossoms. - Exodus 25:34
