Dove

This Mourning Dove brings many thoughts to my mind... The annoying "coo, coo, coo," that I heard out of my bedroom window when one of them built a next in the cedar tree by my bedroom window growing up. The same "coo, coo, coo," that my dear, sweet Grandma loved to hear. The song, "On the Wings of a Dove." [Yes, I know it's not a 'snow white dove,' but a dove nonetheless.] The account of Noah sending out a dove [again I know it's not a white dove]. The song, "I'll Fly Away."
Some glad morning when this life is o'er, I'll fly away;
To a home on God's celestial shore, I'll fly away (I'll fly away).
When the shadows of this life have gone, I'll fly away;
Like a bird from prison bars has flown, I'll fly away (I'll fly away).
Just a few more weary days and then, I'll fly away;
To a land where joy shall never end, I'll fly away (I'll fly away).

And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest. - Psalm 55:6
