This post could have been titled Mackinac Island Lilac II, but this little thing brought me so much joy today! This is the first (of two) buds/blossoms/flowers on my original Mackinac Island Lilac bush!! WOO HOO!! I have nurtured this lilac bush for almost 7 years (this summer) now and it FINALLY has buds on it! Talk about a test of my patience. Last year I was wondering if this thing would EVER blossom. I thought maybe it needed something I wasn't giving it. I was ready to transplant it elsewhere and now THIS! Maybe not too exciting to you, but to me...what a gift from God today!
