BLESSED BE MY ROCK!

"The LORD lives! Blessed be my Rock! Let God be exalted. The Rock of my salvation." Psalm 18:46

A shot I have waited for!

This is a shot I seem to wait for ALL winter...a red cardinal after a fresh snow. Generally I see either the male or the female (or both) and I don't have a camera in my hands. Or, I get the camera ready and then they fly away. But, FINALLY this morning I got it! (I must have snapped this little fellow 20 or 30 times. He and his other fine-feathered friends were enjoying a leisurely meal this Saturday morning. Then I had to pick out just ONE picture to post? As you can tell, I couldn't, so there are two.)

Yes, I waited for this picture; maybe even expectantly since there always seems to be a pair living in the pine trees behind our house. (What a simple blessing!) But, do I wait expectantly on the Lord when I lay my requests before Him? I SHOULD for He is ALWAYS faithful!

In the morning, LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly. - Psalm 5:3
